75 Internationale Ausstellung
Neuer Theatertechnik - Konzerthaus
Druck Staatsdruckerei, Wien.
Größe 126,7 x 189 cm.
Plakat in 2 Teilen gedruckt.
Linkes Plakatteil: linker Rand kleine Fehlstelle ca. 3 x 2 cm fachgerecht ersetzt, Faltstellen in oberer Plakathälfte stärker gebräunt, an diesem oberen Faltkreuz unregelmäßige Fehlstelle 2,5 x 1 cm fachgerecht ersetzt.

International Exhibition of New Theatre Technology, Vienna 1924
Poster designed by Frederick (Friederich) Kiesler (1890-1965), Vienna 1924. Signed in the print lower right corner „Kiesler“. Printed by Staatsdruckerei, Vienna.
Size 126,7 x 189 cm.
Poster printed in 2 parts.
Poster was folded, both parts backed separate with japan paper (parts still separate), both parts slight tanning at folds, small tears in margins, some minimal paper loss at folds and in margins (in colored areas touched up), at folds partial color abrasions (in colored areas touched up). Left part of poster: left margin small paper loss 3 x 2 cm replaced, folds in upper half stronger tanning, there at fold paper loss 2,5 x 1 cm. Right part of poster: in the letter „F“ a small color spot from the printing process, upper margin small area slightly dirty.
Kiesler used his typographic trademark „MTFW“ also for his design of other ephemera for the exhibition like tickets, the letterhead for the stationery of the exhibition officials and the exhibition catalogue. The unfolded front cover of the catalogue is besides some small differences like a small version of the poster. It seems to exist a small advertising brochure or a small advertising poster for the exhibition catalogue, which upper half is nearly identical with the catalogue cover (illustration in catalogue Paris-1996: p. 28; here wrongly described as page 1 and 4 of the catalogue cover).
An early and important example of constructivist poster design.
